Friends of the Earth: Bexley do not covertly gather any personal information from visitors to our website.
If you opt to join our mailing list we store your email address solely for the purpose of keeping you updated regarding the business and activities of the group.
Members may join (or resign) from our mailing list at any time via the 'Mailing List' option on the site menu system. If you choose to resign, your email address will be permanently deleted from our records.
If you register as a user of our Forum the email address you use to register is stored solely for use in administering your forum account. The screen name you choose will be visible on the public site, but your email address will not be shown unless you choose to show it yourself (eg as part of your public profile).
Membership of our mailing list and membership (registration as a user) of our Forum are separate memberships, joining one does not automatically make you a member of the other.
Applications to join either the mailing list or the Forum are not confirmed (activated) until you respond to an invitation email which is sent to you following your application to join. This prevents other people signing up your email address without your knowledge or consent.
The email addresses we store in our systems are held securely and are never made available (given away or sold) to anyone.
